ARCA - Romanian Forum for Refugees and Migrants is urgently looking to employ native speakers of Ukrainian language within the project ”Call now - Protection monitoring for refugees in Romania”. The employment contract will be concluded full-time (8h) and for a determined period (June - October 2022). Most activities will take place from home (call center/remote) but in one of the following cities (Timisoara, Galati, Giurgiu, Somcuta Mare or Radauti) and for some activities the translator will assume regular visits to specific locations in the city.

Main attributions:

The translations will be carried out face to face locally if needed or telephonically (in a call center system)

The translator will work closely with the local legal counselor and with the rest of the team from the country

The translator must ensure that the translation is clear, objective and accurate in terms of both meaning and subject-specific terminology.

Qualifications

Native or proficient in Ukrainian (essential)

Advanced or proficient speaker of English AND/OR Romanian

An understanding and knowledge of relevant terminology in the native language as well as in English/Romanian is highly preferred

Expertise/an advanced degree in Translation or Linguistics represents an advantage

Minimum 1 year of translation, translation review, editing or proofreading experience.
